Why we need two eyes? Its very obvious question for layman of biology and physics. Both of our eyes are same. Do they are interchangeable? Well lets find out some facts.
We need two eyes to see a single object. Both our eyes make a picture of our visual things. One eye enable us to see an object in 2 dimensions and the other eye build 3rd dimension.
In simple words our one eye make a picture of the object that we see and other eye enables us to determine the distance of that object from us. We can actually see this real 3D world when we use both eyes simultaneously.

Humans, Tigers, Lions, Eagle and all attacking creatures have their both eyes in front. Rabbits, mouse, sparrow and all prey creatures have their both eyes on different sides of face.
They can see about 360 degree of their surroundings. But we can only see half of what we have around us. Perception from both eyes simultaneously enables us to determine the distance of object from us as discussed earlier but eyes in different direction can't do so. They just see the whole thing and start running on any disturbance without bothering the distance of source. Do you think this could be the measurement of intelligence among these two categories on acting basis?
